It's okay to go without knowing.

I've been here an entire month and the most TV I've watched has been with Pili every once in a while. BUUUUT since it has been a month, I have been struggling a bit more with homesickness and loneliness. On Friday, I decided to take some time for self-care and ended up staying up until 4am watching the Good Doctor while catching up on homework. Now for many, this might not seem like a wise decision, but for me, it was a great destress time. I had a much needed crying session (the show always makes me cry) and I finished some homework. It's the little things that help me feel better.

This last week marks one month of being in SPAIN! Time has flown by! It feels like just yesterday I was getting settled in. On Monday, my classes were good. I had a group presentation in Commercial Law and I think it went well. In the evening, Armana and I tried a Salsa & Bachata class, which was super fun (last row, first two pictures)! I definitely plan on going again. On Tuesday, Chris and I went hiking in a small mountain town, north of Madrid (last picture in the fourth row to the second to last row). When we got to the top of the hill there was a stunning view (third row from the bottom)!! I definitely plan on hiking there again! On Wednesday, I rested during the day and then in the evening Armana, Ryan and I went to Marula Cafe because there was supposed to be live music. When we got there the place was empty and by the time we left (an hour later) there were only three other people and the band had just started. After that, we went to San Gines, which is a popular churro place. I thought it was good, but not the best I've had. On my way home on Thursday, Armana and I found a Japanese market that is open 24 hours, so we decided that the next time we get back to her place late, we might stop there. I spent the day coming up with some ideas for spring break and I am super excited about the possibilities. It will probably be the only time that I travel to other parts of Europe. After my first class of the day (ended at 5:30pm), I made dinner for Armana and me and it tasted super great! We had turkey covered in great seasonings and tomatoes, along with eggs and rice. Then I had my last class (started at 7:45pm), which was super interesting because we had a guest professor from Connecticut. On Friday, I rested a bit more and did a bit of homework during the day. In the evening, I visited the Royal Palace (third row, second picture) with Ryan and some of his friends. Two were from Belgium and one was from Texas. They were super nice and made touring the palace even more fun. After visiting the palace, we explored the park nearby and watched the sunset by the Temple de Debod, which is an Egyptian temple (third row, first picture)! On Saturday, Ryan and I went to Cercedilla, which is where I went hiking with Chris on Tuesday. While we were trying to find the trailhead, we ran into Chris and a group of his friends, so we all ended up hiking together (first row, first picture)! It was super fun and the views were beautiful (first two rows)! I am so glad I was able to go hiking this week because it was definitely a wonderful de-stressing time for me. On Sunday, I rested during the day and then in the evening I went to Hillsong Madrid with Ryan. Right before the service, I met a girl from California who has been here for almost 3 years now! Her name is Marilú and she is so sweet! I actually am planning to meet up with her sometime this next week! After the service, one of my friends in my class reminded me that we had a test on Monday... I had totally forgotten about it, so I stayed up until 4am studying, but Audrey did homework with me while I was studying, which was awesome (third row, last picture, we were video chatting)! It was definitely a good week!

This week, please continue to pray for comfort and contentment. I am feeling a little lonely because I feel like I don't have people here who understand what I'm going through. Also, please pray for motivation to keep up with studying and homework. I am still growing in the area of self-motivation. Please pray that God continues to use me in the lives of those around me, even if just in a small way. And please also keep my family in your prayers! Thank you so much for all your support and prayers!

Thank you for reading to the end! Or scrolling to the end....

If you have any ideas on how to make the website or blogs better, LET ME KNOW! I hope you have an amazing week!

Until next time!
