"Take your mental health seriously" - Jonathan Stratman
After a big trip, it is wise to reflect on the experience and process what happened. For me, the reflection process has been long and challenging in some regards. I missed out on so much while I was gone, but I gained so much by going. I have grown so much as a person and learned so many things. It was worth it but that does not mean it was easy to adjust back to everything.
The past three months have been a rollercoaster. I started my junior year at NAU and added a minor. I moved off-campus. I work as an SI Leader on-campus. I lead worship for the young adults' group at my church. I have a boyfriend who lives 2.5 hours away. I am going to Disneyland for a leadership program. I am looking for a second job. And I'm trying to stay in contact with as many people as possible from school, the summer, study abroad, etc. I wish I could be in contact with more people I met, especially in Spain, but we all live busy lives that never seem to slow down. It feels like a lot is going on, but not really at the same time.
Recently, I found out that my family will be moving back to Michigan. Sadly, I will not be moving with them anytime soon. Now there will be even more things that I miss out on in the lives of my parents and siblings and vice versa. I am thankful for my time in Spain because it helped prepare me for this moment of not seeing my family once a month. I know that God is in control, but I can feel myself spiraling into a depression. To help with what I feel I am going through, I will be starting another blog on this site. I do not expect anyone to read it, but I find comfort in knowing that it is accessible for those who want to know.
Thank you all for following my journey overseas.
Please pray for safety and peace for my family as they move. Also, pray that I have peace and can keep my head up as they move. Additionally, I am traveling this weekend, so please pray for safety and peace from conflicts as I travel with FBWA. Continue to pray that God will use me in the lives of those around me.
Thank you for reading to the end! Or scrolling to the end...
If you have any ideas on how to make the website or blogs better, LET ME KNOW! I hope you have an amazing week!
Until next time!
