Keep yourself healthy to enjoy life.

When life is running at 100 mph, it is hard to take a step back and rest. Saturday was the best day to rest because I had no commitments. In an effort to relax, I went to Retiro Park. For me, nature is the best way for me to rest and reconnect with God. I spent a few hours reading a PHYSICAL book on a park bench. I was captured by the book enough that I enjoyed the story, but not enough that I ignored everything around me. A few little kids waved at me and a couple of dogs came up to me to check me out. It was a very rejuvenating time. I think I need more days like that in the future.

So last Monday I had three midterms. Of the three, I only failed one so that's good. I also went to Salsa+Bachata that night with Chris, Irem, and Denver. It was super fun, but not the best decision because I was traveling the next day. On Tuesday, I went to Valencia for the day to experience Las Fallas, which was amazing! However, we got back on Wednesday and I still had class and I hung out with friends that evening. That trip definitely messed up the rest on my week because I never really caught up on rest. After a long day of classes, I went to Armana's house to rest before flying to Mallorca the next day. When I got to Mallorca, Tío Gustavo picked me up and took me to where he and Tía Vane work. Then Tía Vane took me to the Coves de Campanet, which is a series of caves open to the public. Then I explored the area of Campanet because everything was very close. That evening I went out with Isis and Cale to hang out with their friends. It was super fun! Then the next day I relaxed at the beach in the morning and went to Horus's rugby game in the afternoon. They won! Then we rested at home. On Sunday, Tía Vane picked me up and took me to the boys' scouts lunch, which was really cool. Then in the afternoon, we explored the coast by going to different lookouts and a lighthouse. Mallorca is absolutely stunning! On Monday, I flew back to Madrid very early in the morning, so I decided against going to my first class. I decided to stay in that night instead of going to Salsa+Bachata because I was super tired. On Tuesday, Ryan and I visited Aranjuez, which has a lot of history and a palace with gorgeous gardens. In the evening, we did an Escape Room with Natalia and one of Ryan's friends, Matthew. It was super fun, but the theme really didn't affect me so I wasn't super helpful. On Wednesday, I had a group meeting with the professors in class, which went well. Then in the evening, Denver and I went shopping, which was fun because he let me pick out clothes for him. On Thursday, I woke up early to study for a midterm but ended up getting distracted by spring break plans. In the evening I grabbed dinner and drinks with Matthew, which was nice. We had some great conversations about our backgrounds and life stories. On Friday, Denver decided to get a tattoo so I went with him to see what that was like. Then afterward we got drinks and had a great heart to heart about our life views. Saturday was more of a relaxing day, trying to catch up on studying, rest, and this blog. I also went out with Daniel, Denver, Jessie, and Annie. The time changed in the middle of the night, so we ended up staying out later than expected. On Sunday, I slept in and only got up because I had to get ready for church. I also finished a bit of homework before going to church. I met three new people at church and it was really great because it felt like I was creating a bit more of a community.

This upcoming week, I could definitely use some prayer for wisdom. I have not been making the wisest decisions when it comes to finances, health, and studies. I need more motivation to keep up in classes. I also need to reevaluate my sleep schedule and what I'm eating. Also please continue to pray for my family! Thank you so much for your prayers and support!

Thank you for reading to the end! Or scrolling to the end....

If you have any ideas on how to make the website or blogs better, LET ME KNOW! I hope you have an amazing week!

Until next time!
