Would You take me back to the place // Where my heart was only about You // And all I wanted was just to be with You // Come and do whatever You want to

I had a nice coffee date back in March with my friend, April. It was an adventure! We were running late, our usual coffee shop was closed, the other coffee shop didn't have much seating, we sat in the trunk of my car, and I had an hour's drive to get to a dance competition. However, it was a much-needed date. We talked about life, struggles, and the importance of testimonies. Vulnerability is something I struggle with, especially when it comes to what I have walked through and am currently walking through. She reminded me that vulnerability is what grows credibility. Not to say that your faith can't be real if you don't struggle, but when you have faith despite the struggles, there's a relatability that exists with others. The point of our testimony is to share who we were, how the Lord saved us, and where we are now. It's not something to keep to yourself. It is meant to be shared to glorify the Lord. So here's to sharing!

I’m a little behind on getting the fourth part out for my testimony. However, the beautiful thing about how the Lord works: He constantly moves, changes, and transforms our lives.

I had left my testimony in a place of hope and growth. I was working with the Lord on the direction of my life, going to counseling, and healing relationally. The enemy has come after me hard ever since, but the Lord is greater than any scheme of the enemy. He always has a plan and a way to work all things out for good, even when we cannot see it. Since I am so far behind and working on the next chapter, I will keep it brief. Once I am through this new chapter, I will flesh out this part of my testimony more deeply.

I got engaged to the man I was dating, where I left my testimony last. I also started dealing with reproductive health issues. I didn't have a period for four months after coming off birth control. I went to the gynecologist and she diagnosed me with PCOS. As a result, she put me back on birth control to attempt to regulate my cycle. At the same time, a local dance studio was hiring a new dance instructor. I applied, auditioned, and was hired. It was an easy side gig with real estate. I ended up getting married and then starting the new job after our honeymoon. Unfortunately, the birth control did not regulate my cycle, and I was told to try eating healthy and exercising. I did that and had no success.

After about a year of marriage, the door opened for me to work at the same tax office as my husband. During the interview, I had a vision of everything I walked through with my immigration work desire. We also had the opportunity to host a foreign exchange student as I was starting a new job. Hosting her was a challenge and a blessing. Unfortunately, my health did not get any better. In fact, it got worse. I started experiencing random bleeding, and then heavy bleeding for 13 days, which led me to the hospital. After multiple hospital visits, they eventually found cysts on my ovaries. Even though my health was in a poor spot, I had an open door to pursue law school, which is the new chapter in my life.

As I begin a new chapter in life, I want to share the thread of the Lord’s faithfulness through my life. He is faithful to bring us through every valley and mountain top.

Look out for my next four-part series, “A Taste of His Faithfulness”, which will also be four years in the making ;)
