“To live a comfortable life, make sure you never love nobody, be selfish and never sacrifice” Andy Mineo
These last two weeks I've been missing home a little extra. Not because of the people, although I do miss them, but because of the routine. There's some comfort at home to establish a routine. It definitely feels easier than in a foreign country. I've felt very unproductive, like I'm doing work and spending time with people but not enough to make an effect. I feel like I'm going nowhere. That makes me uncomfortable. I find comfort in a routine, I find comfort in knowing that I'm doing work to achieve something. It makes me uncomfortable not having a routine, working just to work. I'm not sure what to do about it but I'm hoping that the busyness of spring break might pull me out of my funk.
I didn't do anything for April fools because its never been my thing but while I was having lunch with Ryan, we did come up with a few fun ideas. On Tuesday I did an escape with Ryan, Matthew, Armana, and Jade (Matthew's friend) and we made it out with a minute or so to spare! It we definitely did a better job this time around than last. On Wednesday, Ryan, Matthew, and I did yoga in the park, which was super refreshing. Then afterwards we went to El Tigre with Armana, Natalia, and Kristin (Armana's friend). Thursday I checked out a club called Joy with Denver and it was kinda fun, but I've realized I'm really not the clubbing type. Friday was spent resting then on Saturday Denver and I tried to go bowling but it was a 2-hour wait then we tried to go to a movie and the ticket machine wasn't working so we called it a night and just went home. On Sunday, I went to El Rastro again with Ryan, Michael, Armana, Kristin and Christine. Then we went to brunch at Federal which was nice. In the evening, I went to church with Marilú and Chris! Then afterwards we went out to dinner at 100 Montaditos. I honesty eat there too much. This last week was all catching up on homework and getting ahead for spring break. On Monday I skipped my first three classes because I picked up a care package from my mom!!! Literally the best thing ever! I also had work to do and lunch with Ryan went longer than normal. However, I did make it to my last class because it's the only one that counted participation. On Tuesday, I went out with Denver, Bhvin, and some of Denver's friends to celebrate Denver's birthday. On Wednesday and Thursday I did homework and went to class, but I did skip my last class so that I could do homework instead. Friday was a rest and prep day for spring break!! I headed over to Armana's place that night because we left for spring break at 4am! I'll make a separate post about spring break ;)
This week please pray for safe travels! Armana, Christine, and I are going to be on the move a lot and emotions can run high, flights can be missed, things can go wrong. So please keep us in your prayers! Thank you so much for all your support!
Thank you for reading all the way to the end! Or just scrolling... if there is anyway I can make this blog better LET ME KNOW! I appreciate you all ✌️
